The St. George Chapel at Long Cove will be open for summer Sunday services at 10:00 AM beginning in late June and ending Labor Day Weekend. Visiting clergy celebrate either Holy Communion or Morning Prayer, and the music varies from organ to harp to guitar to base and keyboard. Flowers are lovingly arranged by parishioners from local gardens, supplemented by roadside flowers. As one of 18 summer chapels in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, the little brown church in the woods will celebrate its 123nd anniversary during the summer of 2024.
All visitors are welcome to attend services. The St. George Chapel at Long Cove is located on Long Cove Rd. off of Route 131, eight miles south of Thomaston and two miles north of Tenants Harbor.
